What sort of money can British Gas save me on my gas-only energy bills?

What’s the difference between these two British Gas tariffs?
Both the Standard and WebSaver 7 packages offer great benefits to consumers through their different options:
- Mandatory paperless billing is a feature of the WebSaver 7 package. Instead of the traditional method of being posted your quarterly bill all account management is handled online. The Standard tariff will give you the option as to whether you would like paperless billing or not so this is sure to be a favourite of those less than technically savvy folks amongst us.
- If you need to cancel your gas contract, for example if you move to a property that is no longer connected to a gas supply, you will be liable for a £30 cancellation fee on the WebSaver 7 tariff before 1st July 2010. No such cancellation fee is in place on the Standard package.
- The WebSaver 7 tariff offers a minimum 6% discount compared with the equivalent Standard tariff.
- Both tariffs will allow payment through Direct Debit for additional savings and to save worrying about paying the bill each quarter.
- Likewise, both tariffs will grant access to the excellent service that British Gas offer to their customers as standard.
